Nude Pink Lipstick: Pillow Talk Matte Revolution

charlotte tilbury lipstick pillowtalk

Then there are the several thousand (and counting) #pillowtalklipstick posts singing the shade’s praises on Instagram. Honestly, I was a little underwhelmed by the light mauve pink in the tube. While the packaging was beautiful, the color itself didn’t seem like anything extraordinary. The must-have lipstick also contains vitamin E and orchid extract to keep them hydrated, and is formulated with emollient esters to create a soft, silky texture that helps it stay put. Perhaps that's why Pillow Talk in each of its shade iterations is frequently worn by celebrities like Meghan Markle, Emma Roberts, Lizzo, Bella Hadid, Lily James, and Amal Clooney, just to name a few. Normally matte lipsticks can be super drying and you have to be careful as they can sometimes emphasize any dry or cracked areas on your lips.

And while I tend to prefer wearing the original shade for everyday wear, I LOVE how the medium shade looks paired with more full-faced makeup looks for date night and special occasions. The lipstick does have a slight vanilla scent to it, but it’s not overpowering or overwhelming. I also wanted to see for myself if the Pillow Talk lipsticks are really worth it or not. Charlotte Tilbury makes some of my absolute favorite beauty products.

CHARLOTTE’S SPA-LIKE RADIANCE SKINCARE SETSKINCARE KIT

charlotte tilbury lipstick pillowtalk

110% would recommend this shade for anyone who wants a versatile lipstick you can wear anytime. As someone who normally purchases $10 or less drugstore lipsticks, the pillow talk price tag of $34 is definitely higher than what I’m used to paying. While these lipsticks are a matte finish, they’re not overly drying, and have a really nice and comfortable velvet-smooth feel on the lips. These lipsticks also contain 3D glowing pigments that enhance the natural hue of the lips. I wore the lipstick for a recent evening of dinner and drinks and was pleasantly surprised by how well it held up.

HYDRATION & RADIANCE SKIN DUOSKINCARE KIT

It is believed they are the colours of happiness, optimism, enlightenment, creativity, sunshine and spring. I personally think it really brings out my blue eyes and the warm tones really brighten up the face. I’m honestly blown away with how gorgeous both of these shades are.

It’s hands-down one of the most versatile lipstick shades that can be worn everyday for any occasion, making it a great value. Of course I wouldn’t just recommend a lipstick without going into the details of the product, so let’s dive into a breakdown of the formula, shade, packaging, ingredients, and price of these lipsticks. I’m not the only one who has named Pillow Talk my “desert island” lipstick. I share an obsession with Amal Clooney, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Kate Moss, apparently.

NEW! CHARLOTTE’S MINI MAGIC SKIN DISCOVERY SETSKINCARE KIT

charlotte tilbury lipstick pillowtalk

On the other hand, the medium pillow talk lipstick is equally as gorgeous and adds the perfect “pop of color”. After trying Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution lipstick in Pillow Talk and pairing it with the Lip Cheat liner, I can totally see why these products are cult favorites. They give the effect of fuller, plumper lips and the natural rosy hue is easy to dress up or down. The lip kit has become my new go-to, especially since it holds up against eating and drinking, and I can't wait to try the Medium and Intense shades to expand my lineup. It’s absolutely beautiful, flattering on all skin tones, and extremely versatile for everyday wear giving you a total bang for your buck.

In terms of being long-lasting, I would say these lipsticks do a great job of staying in place for several hours without having to do touch-ups. Fortunately, I found these lipsticks to be hydrating, and they have a satin-smooth texture that feels really nice and comfortable on the lips. If I’m being honest it’s probably the most I’ve ever paid for a lipstick. If it’s going to be a staple item in your makeup collection and you know you will get a ton of use out of it, then it’s worth it. If you’ve followed me for anytime, you know I’m normally a drugstore lipstick kinda gal.

Pillow talk original lipstick is a gorgeous, universally-flattering, nude-pink shade that compliments each individual’s natural lip color and skin tone. So today I’m excited to share my honest Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick Review and lipstick swatches of both the original and medium pillow talk lipsticks on fair skin. On everyone’s lips right now, this iconic matte, nude-pink lipstick is the ultimate celebrity and supermodel lip color, creating MAKEUP MANIA across the globe as the secret to fuller, wider looking lips.

In fact, Charlotte Tilbury created a whole collection dedicated to this romantic, soft-glam shade. To truly see if the Pillow Talk shades are universally flattering, we tested out the wear, formulation, and look of the iconic Pillow Talk lipstick shades on six different skin tones. Some of us opted to try out the original color, while others wanted to give Pillow Talk Medium a whirl.

Matte Revolution in Pillow Talk enhances the natural hue of your lips so is unique to your skin tone and natural lip color. Plus, I’ll break down all the details of the CT pillow talk lipsticks including formula, shade, packaging, ingredients, and how long it lasts on the lips. Singling out a lipstick I’d want to wear day in and day out—and that spoke to who I am at the same time—became my beauty obsession early this year. Like a freshman at college orientation, I took a “try everything once” approach to my hunt. I’ve tested cherry and candy-apple reds; "universal" nudes with mauve and orange undertones; and, in a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina–inspired moment of edginess, matte blacks and dark blues.

It provided me with a greater respect of the effect people have on the environment and its creatures. When the currents were strong the visibility was bad, but most of the time it was really enjoyable. We covered alot of area, and were kept nicely busy learning something every day, The trip certainly exceeded our expectations. On the main deck, besides the 3 cabins, we have the Dining room with the coffee station, as well as the Living room and a Boutique Briefing area. Although natural selection takes place all over the globe, nowhere it is more evident than in the Galapagos Islands. Excursions in zodiacs will allow you to admire even more closely the fauna and flora of the Galapagos, along the coast.

Endemic Galapagos

Galapagos-based ships are required to hire locally, so most of the crew on ships in the area are Ecuadorian. That lends itself to a more immersive experience, both on board and ashore. Food is often traditional and sourced as locally as possible, and crew members happily answer questions about the culture and customs in Ecuador. If you're used to mainstream cruising, Galapagos vessels won't be what you're accustomed to. Because of that, it's common for more than one travel company or cruise brand to sell sailings on the same ship.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978, this remote Archipelago of 18 islands and more than 100 small islets lies around 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean. Take a virtual tour of our newest expedition ship, the National Geographic Islander II. From the vessel's Zodiac landing platform, all the way to its upper deck pool, get to know our luxurious new home in the Galápagos Islands. You can charge your phone on-board, however, electricity in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands requires US plugs so you may need to take an adapter. Additionally, mobile phone coverage is almost non-existent whilst travelling around the islands.

When August rolls around, Galapagos hawks — the islands' rarest birds — begin the courtship process. In September, Galapagos penguins begin a months-long mating ritual. Wi-Fi is not available on the boat at all whilst in the Galapagos Islands. There is limited access on the bigger islands of Santa Cruz, San Cristobal and Isabela and there may also be the occasional internet cafe for you to use if there is time.

Hurtigruten makes cruising the Galapagos Islands more affordable by waiving the single supplement on several of its Galapagos cruises. The ship carries a maximum of 90 passengers, and its operations are carbon-neutral. On uninhabited islands such as Fernandina Island and Santiago Island, you’ll get to embark on shore excursions, discovering ancient lava flows and observing the endemic flora and fauna.

Fantastic for all the islands - the different unique environments for each one was so interesting. We kept thinking the next island couldn't get any better than the last one, then it did. The water was cold on the west end of the island chain but that’s where we had the best experience and interaction. The snorkeling was superb overall, though there were days when the water conditions were not ideal. Didn't dive on this trip, but snorkeling certainly met our expectations.

South-east of Santa Cruz lies one of the oldest of the Galapagos Islands, Sante Fe – also known as Barrington Island named after British Admiral Samuel Barrington. This small, arid, and relatively flat island is thought to be nearly four million years old. As nature has not introduced danger and competition from outside their territory, many of these animals don’t have the natural instinct to flee from humans. It is fascinating to observe so many animals just an arm’s length away. Our knowledgeable and passionate expedition team is complemented by our dedicated hotel team who strives to ensure that your time on board is as comfortable and rewarding as your time on shore. Though there is no risk of yellow fever in the Galapagos Islands, a vaccination certificate is required for travellers coming from infected areas.

Embark on a Galápagos cruise and experience the evolutionary oddities and breathtaking scenery of an astonishing archipelago famed worldwide for its wildlife-viewing opportunities. Beneath the spectacular volcanic vistas, delve into an underwater wonderland, a nutrient-rich cocktail of currents conducting an oceanic opera of teeming marine life.
