Our sunflowers are harvested every fall to press the seeds into culinary oil, however, they are a sight to behold while they are blooming. Oilseed sunflowers are not like ornamental sunflower varieties that bloom for 3 weeks or more. Oilseed sunflowers bloom and begin to turn their heads to start drying their seed after only about 12 days. This means that we have a limited window to enjoy them in. This window is when we hold our Sunflower Festival; when they are the most beautiful.

At Little Creek Acres Farm there are dairy goats and sheep who know their names, chickens you can visit, cats that talk to you, farm dogs who love attention, as well as a veggie garden and an orchard to explore and learn in! A two and a half hour experiential learning tour for youth groups of 5 to 90, ages 6 and up, scheduled March through November. Tapia Brothers Farm is a family-owned and operated produce stand in the San Fernando Valley. During the fall, they offers the opportunity to experience a class pumpkin patch. We attribute that increase in quality solely to the sunflower meal. We grow over 14-acres of sunflowers that we cold-press into unrefined, Non-GMO sunflower oil using traditional extruding methods. We started preparations for a corn maze only months after moving to Lee. With only a folding table and an umbrella for a booth, the first Coppal House Farm corn maze opened in the fall of 2005.
